LumberID
Lumber Identification via Grain Pattern
The LumberID system is Tisfoon's newest innovation. The assumption was that lumber, being an organic material, must have a unique grain pattern which could be used for identification. This is similar to human identification via finger printing. Most of 2007 was spent researching and developing this system and it paid off. Today, a major kitchen cabinet manufacturer is using the system to solve lumber queue control issues between a Woodeye Scanner and the Eagle Cross-Cut Optimizer.
